His holy scriptures translated by the saint deeply influenced his writings. Under the guidance of his teacher, Abba Gideon, Saint Yared immersed himself in the teachings of the Holy Scriptures, laying the foundation for his divine compositions.
 
Heavenly Melodies and Mystical Revelations: Saint Yared's journey included a revelation during his voyage to "Maykrah," where a divine melody was bestowed upon him by the angels in heaven.
He praised God with the descant, setting the stage for his sacred compositions.
 
Rhymes for Every Season and Occasion: After his celestial encounter, Saint Yared crafted three types of rhyme - "Geeze, Ezile, and Araraye," each dedicated to various seasons, festivals, Sabbaths, and sacred occasions. His compositions became integral to the daily prayer, Divine Liturgy, and melodic hymns of the Holy Church.
 
Royal Recognition and Sacrificial Vow: The Emperor was mesmerized by Saint Yared's melodies and accidentally pierced the saint's foot with his spear. Despite the king's sorrow, he honoured his vow, allowing Saint Yared to pursue his calling.
 
Desert Sojourn and Eternal Mystery: Saint Yared retreated to the southern desert, dedicating his life to fasting and prayer. His diligence led to the mortification of his flesh, and his legacy lives on. God vowed salvation to those who plead in his name or celebrate his commemoration. Saint Yared's departure to a mysterious destination remains an eternal mystery.
